Monthly Parent Meetings

The Church recognizes that parents are the first and primary educators of the Catholic faith for their children and that Parish Religious Education classes are not a replacement of the vital parental role. Furthermore, the parish also has a responsibility to assist you in raising your children in the faith.

Therefore, in order to give greater support to parents and to aid them in educating their children at home in the ways of faith, the Office of Religious Education will hold "Monthly Parent Meetings." These meetings are required of all parents who have children preparing to receive any sacrament (i.e. Baptism, Confirmation, and/or Communion).

Parents are expected to attend all seven monthly meetings. If one has multiple children attending classes on separate days of the week, a parent need only attend one meeting offered each month. It is our sincere hope that by attending these meetings parents may grow in their understanding of the Church's teachings and faithfully pass them on to their children.
