Festival FAQ's

 

 

Is this event open to the public? – Yes. This event is open to the public, and all are welcome to come and join in the fun.

Where will the Festival take place? - The Festival will be held on the Church grounds at 14160 Ferndale Road, Dale City, VA 22193.

What time does the Festival Start? - The Festival Opening ceremony will take place on Friday 8 September at 5 PM.  The festival will close on Friday at 11 PM.  On Saturday September 9th the festival opens at 4 PM and closes at 10 PM. 

If there is rain will this event take place? - Yes.  We have contingency plans in place should there be rain.

Where can I park?  Limited parking is available in the Church parking lot, using the normal entrance at Hereford Rd only.  Follow the normal traffic flow and signs when entering the parking lot from Hereford Drive. Only the upper and middle tier parking on church grounds will be available for public festival parking. The church lower tier parking is needed and used for festival activities, staff and VIP parking only.   The church parking entrance off Ferndale Rd. (Fresno Drive) will be closed (exit only) and you will be directed to the overflow parking at Bel-Air School, and along Ferndale Rd.  A shuttle service will be provided to drive you from overflow parking to the festival and return.   

Will there be special parking for performers? No. No special parking will be designated for performers.  If you will be arriving by vehicle, please follow the parking guidelines listed above and allow yourself plenty of time to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time to perform.

If I am running late for my performance, who do I contact? - If you are running late or have other questions concerning your performance, you should text or call Larry Pemberton at 703-472-4572.

Will there be enough Handicap Parking?  Yes. There are a few regular handicap parking spots in the upper tier available, and additional handicap parking has been designated in the back of the school.  Follow directions of the traffic staff (in reflective vests).  Handicap vehicle identification is required (license plate or placard). 

Can I use cash money for food purchases? No. All food purchases must be made with a Festival Fun Card that can be purchased at the event using credit or debit cards only.  Until September 4th, advance Fun Card purchases may be made using cash, check, credit or debit card after all Weekend masses or in the Parish Office during the week using, cash, check, credit or debit cards.  Advance Fun Cards are sold with a discount.  Note that cash or fun cards are accepted at the sidewalk café and the 50/50 raffle is cash only. 

Will there be covered seating? - Yes. There will be covered and uncovered seating with tables and chairs.

Can I bring my pet? No. Pets will not be allowed. 

Will there be bathroom facilities available? Yes. There will be several portable bathroom facilities including handicap accessible bathrooms.  The school bathrooms are reserved for festival staff only and the school will not be open to the public.  The new bathrooms in the church near the nave and church office will be available to the public.   The portable bathrooms will have lighting. 

Can I volunteer to help with the festival? – Yes.  You may and we encourage you to volunteer to help by going to the information booth near the ticket sales booths or you may sign up early using our online signup portal by clicking HERE. 

I signed up as a general volunteer.  When and where do I report?  General volunteers should report to the information booth – near the ticket booths 15 to 30 minutes prior to your volunteer time slot.  There you will be given your assignment.  If you have already signed up for a specific area such as a food booth or other role, please report directly to that location.    

Will there be Masses on Saturday, September 10th? –Yes.  Normal scheduled masses will be held at 5 PM and 6:30 PM.  Please allow extra time as there is no special parking arrangements for those attending these Masses and the above parking information for the public applies equally to those attending Saturday evening Masses.

Will the Holy Hour and Adoration for Friday take place? - No. The Holy Hour and Adoration for Friday September 9th is cancelled..    

Will there be Festival t-shirts this year –Yes.  We will have a limited number of t-shirts available for purchase for $15 where you may purchase tickets (credit/debit card only).  Check the festival web page or our Mobile App for this year’s design. 

I m a Performer on the Program.  Where and when do I report? - If you are a performer you should report to the DJ's booth on the left side of the stage at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled performance time.

¿Este evento está abierto al público?  – Sí. El evento está abierto al público, y todos son bienvenidos a unirse a la diversión.

¿Dónde tendrá lugar el Festival?  - El Festival se celebrará en los terrenos de la Iglesia.

¿A qué hora comienza el Festival?  - La ceremonia de apertura del Festival tendrá lugar el viernes 9 de septiembre a las 5 PM.  El festival termina el viernes a las 11 PM.  El sábado 10 de septiembre el festival abre a las 4 PM y cierra a las 10 PM.

¿Dónde podemos estacionar?  Hay estacionamiento limitado en el estacionamiento de la Iglesia, utilizando solo la entrada normal en Hereford Drive.  Siga el sentido del tráfico normal y los letreros al ingresar al estacionamiento desde Hereford Drive. Solo el estacionamiento de nivel superior y el del centro medio de la iglesia está disponible para el estacionamiento público del festival. El estacionamiento del nivel bajo de la iglesia es restringido y se usa solo para actividades del festival y para personas de prioridad (VIP).   La entrada de estacionamiento de la iglesia por Ferndale Road (Fresno Drive) estará clausurada (solo salida) y se le dirigirá al estacionamiento desbordado en Bel-Air Escuela y a lo largo de Ferndale Road.  Se proporcionará un servicio de transporte para llevarlo desde el estacionamiento desbordado hasta el festival y de regreso a su auto.

¿Habrá suficiente estacionamiento para discapacitados?  Sí.  Hay algunos lugares de estacionamiento regulares para discapacitados en el nivel superior disponibles, y se ha designado un estacionamiento adicional para discapacitados en la parte posterior de la escuela.  Siga las direcciones del fluyo de tráfico (en chalecos reflectantes).  Se requiere identificación del vehículo para discapacitados (matrícula o cartel).

¿Puedo usar dinero en efectivo para compras de alimentos?  No.  Las compras de alimentos deben hacerse con la Tarjeta de Diversión del Festival que se puede comprar en el evento utilizando solo tarjetas de crédito o débito.  Las compras anticipadas con tarjeta Fun card se pueden hacer con efectivo, cheque, tarjeta de crédito o débito después de todas las misas de fin de semana o en la oficina parroquial durante la semana usando, efectivo, cheque, crédito o débito.  Tenga en cuenta que se aceptan efectivo o tarjetas divertidas en la cafetería de la acera pero la rifa 50/50 es solo en efectivo.

¿Puedo traer a mi mascota?  No se admitirán mascotas.

¿Habrá baños disponibles?  Sí.  Hay baño portátiles, incluidos los baños accesibles para discapacitados.  Los baños de la escuela no estarán abiertos al público.  Los nuevos baños en la iglesia cerca de la nave y la  oficina de la iglesia estarán disponibles para el público.

¿Puedo ser voluntario para ayudar con el festival?  – Sí.  Puede ofrecerse como voluntario para ayudar yendo a la cabina de información cerca de las taquillas de venta de entradas.

Me inscribí como voluntario general.  ¿Dónde me reporto?   Los voluntarios generales deben informarse en la cabina de información, cerca de las taquillas, de 15 a 30 minutos antes de su franja horaria de voluntariado donde se le asignará su asignación.  Si ya se inscribió en un área específica, como un puesto de comida u otro rol, informe directamente a esa ubicación.

¿Hay misas el sábado 10de septiembre?  – Sí.  Las misas programadas se llevarán a cabo a las 5 PM y 6:30 PM.  Por favor, permita tiempo adicional ya que no hay arreglos especiales de estacionamiento para aquellos que asisten a estas Misas y la información de estacionamiento anterior para el público se aplica igualmente a los que asisten a las Misas de los sábados por la noche.

¿Se realizará la Hora Santa y Adoración del viernes? - No. Se cancela la Hora Santa y Adoración del viernes 9 de septiembre.

¿Habrá camisetas del Festival este año?   Tenemos un número limitado disponible para su compra por $15 donde se compra las tarjetas de Diversion (solo con tarjeta de crédito / débito).  Consulte la página del festival para ver el diseño de este año.

Soy un Intérprete en el Programa. ¿Dónde y cuándo denuncio? - Si es un artista, debe presentarse en la cabina del DJ en el lado izquierdo del escenario al menos 10 minutos antes de la hora programada para su actuación.
